1824-NG M Central American Republic 8 Reales Ex. Richard Lissner

Superb gem with proof-like surfaces and exceptional original toning. This coin that will always be cherished and sought after by those who appreciate its beauty and rarity.

It was February of 1970 when Richard "Dick" Lissner acquired this coin, an outstanding 1824 CAR 8 reales. Probably the best extant example.

Years have passed; Dick Lissner died in 2014 at 87. The coin went up for auction and found its way into the hands of a new collector.

Fast forward to November of 2021, and fifty-one years have passed since Lissner purchased it. The coin was auctioned by Tauler & Fau. I won the auction.

In 2022 I crossed the coin to PCGS. TrueView looks amazing.
